Preparations Underway for the 3rd Krajna Folk Festival!

Join us on September 6, 2025, in Radawnica

At the Folk High School in Radawnica (Volkshochschule Radawnica), preparations are in full swing for the third edition of the Krajna Folk Festival! On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the school’s green park will once again come alive with music, traditional flavors, crafts, and joyful community celebration. As always, it’s a free, family-friendly event – the perfect way to start the post-summer season.

A Celebration of Living Folk Culture

The Krajna Folk Festival is more than just a day of performances – it's a joyful expression of regional culture and shared identity. Rooted in the traditions of the Krajna region and inspired by community spirit, the festival brings together people of all ages to experience something truly meaningful.

“It was unforgettable! The atmosphere, the music, the people – it all felt authentic and full of heart.”
Zofia, participant in 2023

The 2025 edition promises to be just as vibrant – full of highlights from previous years and exciting new features.

What Can You Expect This Year?

The festival program is packed with attractions for all ages and interests. Here’s a taste of what awaits:

  • 🎶 Live folk performances by traditional music and dance groups from across Poland – both authentic regional ensembles and modern folk-inspired acts.

  • 🍲 Local culinary delights prepared by rural women’s associations (Koła Gospodyń Wiejskich) – including handmade pierogi, traditional bread, savory stews, and classic desserts you won’t find in restaurants.

  • 🧶 Craft and artisan market – showcasing embroidery, woodcraft, pottery, woven goods, linen work, and much more. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local makers and find one-of-a-kind items.

  • 🎪 Children’s activities – storytelling, craft workshops, traditional games, folk puppet theatre and other fun-filled attractions for our youngest festival-goers.

  • 🎵 Chill-out zone & acoustic concerts – relax in the shade or on a blanket while listening to soft folk music, string quartets, and live bands.

  • 🎉 And of course, many more surprises to be announced in the coming weeks on our website and social media!

Where Tradition Meets Community

The Folk High School in Radawnica is a vibrant center for adult education, civic engagement, and cultural creativity. The Krajna Folk Festival is co-created by students, volunteers, educators, artists, local NGOs, and residents – it’s a grassroots effort powered by passion.

Our second edition in 2024, held in combination with the 3rd National Folk High Schools Festival, brought hundreds of visitors from all over Poland and beyond. It set a new standard for authenticity and community warmth.

“I’ve been to many festivals, but this one had soul. You could feel the care in every detail – it was personal.”
Michał, artisan at the 2024 festival
