When History Meets the Future: A New Chapter for the Folk High School in Radawnica

Some places are more than just buildings. They carry memory, silence, and the lived experience of community. And one such place is beginning a new chapter with us.

In 2025—thanks to the generosity of the parish in Radawnica—we were entrusted with a deconsecrated former church building, previously connected to the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. It is a space shaped by history and meaning for many people. Today, it becomes an invitation to imagine the future—together.

Not a “ready-made project” — but a shared process

At the Folk High School in Radawnica, we don’t believe in easy, one-size-fits-all answers. We believe in process: conversation, listening, learning, and co-creating.

That’s why we don’t want to make quick decisions behind closed doors. We want this place to become something that truly serves the local community—carefully, wisely, and together. Our goal is to design a space that is as inclusive and accessible as possible, taking into account a wide range of needs, ages, and life situations.

What could this place become?

Before any final plan is made, we want to hear from you—because the community knows best what is needed and what would matter.
